Laleh V. Hanks
Laleh V. Hanks had no choice but to leave the employee benefits industry after the September 11 attacks in 2001. She found herself drawn to mortgage lending instead and has since been involved in both the mortgage and real estate markets. Although she has been through multiple market crashes, Laleh always comes out on top! Even more determined to succeed.
After gaining experience in lending, Laleh came to realize that many Americans did not have proper access to the information needed to make some of their most important financial decisions. Lack of knowledge combined with fear have put many people in the dark, and Laleh wanted to find a way to change this. (This is how our mission began.)
America Choice Benefits was born out of a desire to impart knowledge on everyday Americans as they make various decisions regarding their finances and mortgage decisions. The company is comprised of a large group of professionals who are dedicated to helping people reach their biggest goals and dreams, which often includes owning a home. Laleh credits the freedom we have in America to pursue whatever we want as her inspiration and does not waste a single moment, making a difference in the world by helping others.
Laleh Hanks is acting President for America Choice Mortgage, Benefits, and Realty. She holds a member affiliation with the California Association of Mortgage Professionals (CAMP), California Association of Realtors (CAR) and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and many local radio and interview networks have highlighted her in their programs. Laleh is fully endorsed and compliant with NMLS and DRE. She is a member and approved trusted broker with Comergence Compliance. Her specialty is In Purchase, HECM, and VA lending. She has worked with many veterans and first responders from all over the nation, who she is truly grateful for their sacrifice and service. She has helped many through Ameradapt, an effort to help seniors adapt to a new American Dream. Helping seniors tap into their home and reach a much better retirement and quality of life through the Home Equity Conversion Program has been exceptionally rewarding.
In her free time, Laleh enjoys spending time with her children, family, friends and co-workers. She loves traveling and meeting new people through live music events, networking, public speaking, outdoor sports, and just about any activity she can enjoy with friends and family. Music is a huge part of her life and while she once despised country music, it is now one of her favorite genres. She is involved with Country Coast 2 Coast, two music-related nonprofits that each support different causes.
She believes her passion comes from challenges and adversities in her life and faces each day with strength and vengeance to make the hardships work to her advantage. One can identify similar traits in other aspects of her life— pursuing her passions has not always been a walk in the park. Laleh and her family suffered the loss of her younger brother, who was in the military, in 2016 to PTSD. Much of her passion focuses on helping the military and now with more intensity because of such a loss. #InHonorOfChad quickly echoed the pain of twenty-two Veterans losing their life to suicide in a day. Her goal is to allow resources for the many first responders and veterans to cope with PTSD and shine a very bright light on the source of the problem. Laleh has also faced backlash for expressing her personal political beliefs in an increasingly divided country. After helping raise over thirty thousand dollars for a non-profit, she suffered marginalization as they attempted to use cancel culture tactics.
Furthermore, Laleh has a unique heritage as her mother’s ancestors built the Mayflower and her father’s family is from Iran. Her experience and views stem from spending time in Iran as a child and facing life under a power-hungry government that oppresses its people and ripped their individual freedoms away through fear and violence. Laleh strongly believes in the power of communication, no matter the topic, and is very open about her beliefs for this very reason. She gratefully values living in a country that gives her the freedom to pursue any and every dream she desires and wants to lead others to pursue their own American Dream.
Laleh runs her business with this quote in mind: “People do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” She believes that any business will find success if its intentions are genuine and honorable.
